Shields promoted to rank of professor

During its meeting on February 27, 2026, the University of Richmond Board of Trustees approved the promotion of Tom Shields to Professor of Education and Leadership Studies.

The approval reflects the confidence of the Board, President, and Provost in Shields’ accomplishments and contributions as a teacher, scholar, and member of the University community.
