Hocutt receives award for conference paper

Daniel L. Hocutt, SPCS web manager and adjunct professor of liberal arts, was among co-authors of a paper that received the IEEE ProComm James M. Lufkin Award recognizing the best conference paper submitted to IPCC Proceedings 2026.

The paper, “Ethos and Ethics Before Efficiency: Toward a Deliberative AI Literacy for Professional Communication,” was written collaboratively my members of the Building Digital Literacy research cluster of the Digital Life Institute.
