Rissler publishes chapter on immigrant contributions to Virginia
Grant Rissler, assistant professor of organizational studies and chair of the SPCS department of interdisciplinary and professional studies, published “The Commonwealth Enriched: Immigrant Paths to Progress,” a chapter in the book We the People: The World in Virginia, published by the Virginia Museum of History and Culture.
Book Summary
This volume serves as the signature publication for the Virginia Museum of History & Culture's We The People: The World in Our Commonwealth, a 4,800 square foot gallery exhibit to be shown at the Museum from March 21, 2026, through September 7, 2026. This exhibition will explore the many people who, over centuries, have made Virginia the unique place it is in America and in the world, and the dramatic impact of the immigrant experience through Virginia's history as people arrived from the four corners of the globe.
