A&S undergraduate research funding applications due Sept. 15

The A&S Undergraduate Research Committee invites applications for the second round of Fall Semester undergraduate research support. Deadline: Tuesday, Sept. 15, 11:59 p.m. The committee supports both academic research and creative production. Funding may be applied toward such things as buying needed supplies, recruiting research subjects, or funding travel to collections or sites. Other activities and expenses in support of undergraduate research/production will also be considered. Please see the webpage for details and application forms.
When evaluating applications, the URC generally defers to faculty mentors in matters of substance, although it may request more information from students to ensure compliance with the Committee’s guidelines. Such requests are generally formative in nature, helping students develop the skills needed for successful applications in the future, and do not indicate doubts about the merits of particular projects.
