The Office of Emergency Management, in coordination with the Department of Public Safety, will host a 7-session Safety Series from Jan. 21 to March 4. Snacks and water will be provided.
- Jan. 21– Emergency Preparedness
Learn how the University plans for and responds to campus emergencies. - Jan. 28 – Stop the Bleed
Learn how to recognize and control life-threatening bleeding. - Feb. 4 – Active Threat Training
Learn how to prepare for and respond to active threats on campus. - Feb. 11 – Narcan/Drug Safety Training
Gain a deeper understanding of substance abuse, opioids, and the dangers of fentanyl. - Feb. 18 – Self Defense
Build confidence and awareness while learning practical self-defense techniques. - Feb. 25 – Hands-only CPR
Learn the lifesaving basics of Hands-only CPR in this quick, accessible training. - March 4 – Fire Safety
Learn life-saving fire safety skills, including the types of fire extinguishers, when and how to use them, and rules for safely handling fire emergencies.
