Make Spider Insider Your Homepage

You can access the latest campus news and updates every time you open your browser by making Spider Insider your homepage.

Chrome

Startup Page (shows upon launching the browser):

  1. In the top right corner of your computer's browser, click the three dots and then select Settings.
  2. Under "On startup," click Open a specific page or set of pages.
  3. Select Add a new page.
  4. In the Site URL field, enter https://spiderinsider.richmond.edu and click "Add."

Homepage:

  1. In the top right corner of your computer's browser, click the three dots and then select Settings.
  2. Under "Appearance," turn on Show home button.
  3. Select your current homepage or Enter custom web address. Then, enter: https://spiderinsider.richmond.edu

Safari

  1. In the top left corner of your screen, select Safari > Preferences > General.
  2. Next to "New windows open with" and "New tabs open with," select Homepage. 
  3. Next to "Homepage," enter: https://spiderinsider.richmond.edu

Edge

  1. In the upper right corner of your browser, select More (indicated by three dots) and then select Settings.
  2. Under "Set your homepage," click the Down arrow, and then select A specific page or pages.
    1. If you have a current homepage: Next to the URL, click X.
  3. Click *Enter a URL*. Then, type: https://spiderinsider.richmond.edu

 Firefox

  1. Open your browser and visit https://spiderinsider.richmond.edu
  2. Drag the tab to the Home button, then release. 
  3. Click Yes.
