Introducing Spider Insider: Your Go-To Source for Campus News and Updates

We’re excited to announce the launch of Spider Insider, the new staff and faculty website designed to keep you connected and up to date on all things University of Richmond.

The Spider Insider website builds on the foundation of the print publication by providing a dynamic, daily stream of timely information, including campus news, events, and updates such as road closures and facility alerts. There are also quick links to essential resources. With its news-site format, important information is front and center, so you can quickly find what you need. 

The launch comes after more than a year of planning and collaboration between Human Resources and University Communications to improve the staff and faculty webpage. By analyzing data on how staff and faculty navigate UR’s website, we’ve designed Spider Insider digital to focus on what matters most — from Workday and the help desk to accomplishments and kudos.

Key features of Spider Insider include:

• Quick links to essential resources, such as UR Alert, SpiderBytes, the Help Desk, and more.
• News stories from across the University, including highlights from UR publications and original content created specifically for the site.
• Updates on current campus happenings, such as road closures and facility alerts, to help you start your day informed.
• Upcoming events, featuring faculty and staff meetings, training opportunities, and institutional programming.
• Announcements for urgent updates that require immediate attention.
• Campus Highlights, including kudos, accomplishments, and multimedia from around campus.
• In the News, featuring the latest media mentions of the University.
